On April 5, the U.S. Embassy Oslo honored 18 Norwegian shipowners, including newly-appointed President of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association (Norges Rederiforbund) Synnøve Seglem, who have made their vessels available for search and rescue operations on the seven seas, saving lives around the world. Chargé d’Affaires Sharon Hudson-Dean, U.S. Coast Guard Attaché Commander Eric Casler, and the U.S. Commercial Service were honored to award the shipowners with certificates, celebrating the seafarers and underscoring the importance of the USCG AMVER Program.
