From May 15, 2017, the U.S. Embassy in Oslo will be located at Morgedalsvegen 36 at Huseby in Oslo. It will no longer be located at Henrik Ibsens gate 48.
Three separate entrances
The new U.S. Embassy has three separate entrances: The consular entrance is located on Sørkedalsveien; the main entrance is located on Morgedalsvegen, as is the deliveries entrance. The consular entrance is for visa clients and American Citizen Services customers, the main entrance is for employees and their guests, and the deliveries entrance is for the delivery of goods.
How to get there
The embassy is only a few minutes’ walk from Makrellbekken Metro (T-bane) station. If traveling by public transportation, you can take Metro (T-bane) number 2 towards Østerås, and exit at Makrellbekken station. Regular parking is not available at the U.S. Embassy. However, there are parking spaces across the street, next to Njårdhallen (sport center). For customers and guests with disabilities or restricted mobility, it is possible to use the disabled parking zone next to the consular entrance. There is bicycle parking next to the consular entrance.
